Under the protection of the forest complexes of the southern slopes of Krndija, the oldest Croatian mountain range, at 280 m above sea level, lays viticultural position of Korija, from which come exclusive lines – KORIA – premium wines from KUTJEVO winery. Graševina, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir varieties are planted at the mentioned location, and the wines produced in extremely limited series reveal a completely new style as well as different approach in production of premium quality wines.
The KORIA Macerated Graševina and cuvée KORIA Cabernet sauvignon and Pinot noir come from above mentioned vineyard position. Both labels are 2017 vintage and represent the realization of the personal vision of Mr. Enver Moralić, owner of KUTJEVO Jsc., who is also the creator of the idea of conversion and planting selected varieties in the vineyards, a strong believer in the strength and potential of the microlocation Korija, which wine enthusiasts will undoubtedly feel in the wine itself. Boutique wines such as the limited series KORIA are the fruit of the vision, richness and diversity of the Kutjevo wine region terroir, knowledge and effort, reduced to quality and deserve special attention from both wine lovers and the professional public.
Maceration and fermentation took place over a period of three weeks, and after many years in barrels of 1500 to 3000 liters, enologists blended the best of both worlds, the power of cabernet, tannins and varietal characteristics of black berries with subtlety and elegance and earthy tones. which represents the varietal characteristic of pinot. Regarding macerated graševina, it is known that Kutjevo winery produces stylistically the largest number of different wines of these varietiey. No winery in the region, and therefore in the world, is able to offer the market sparkling wine, fresh wine like the brand high quality graševina, or more mature and complex one, like Decanter platinum award-winning Graševina de Gotho, as well as all kinds of predicate and ice wine vintages and archival wines from graševina grape variety.

The logical sequence was to start producing macerated graševina, bearing in mind that the graševina of the KORIA line, will be significantly different from what fans of classic, fresh wines are used to. Both in the aroma and taste of the wine, the KORIA lines are complex, characteristic and layered with a long aftertaste, and as such, an excellent accompaniment to selected, sophisticated dishes.
