Limited edition of young wine – Mlada Graševina 2021.

Fans of the global trend of presenting young wines can enjoy the first wine from the 2021 vintage that is coming to the market. It is a young wine of the graševina variety produced as a limited edition. The wine is intended for sale during the upcoming pre-holiday and holiday days, and it is the desire of the winery KUTJEVO to give the market and lovers of young wines the opportunity to taste extremely fresh, fruity and drinkable wine produced from the most important variety of continental Croatia.

We are starting the new wine season with a limited edition of Mlada Graševina, a wine that arose from the desire to bring the tradition of tasting young wines closer to professional public, distributors and wine lovers. This year, by winning numerous international awards, we have shown how the quality of our wines rises through each harvest, and we want to show the potential of  2021 harvest. Despite the challenging year, grapes from this year’s harvest are of exceptional quality, so we we can offer wine that will be a kind of insight into the quality public can expect. Mlada Graševina comes on the market in November, at a time when wine lovers around the world taste and enjoy young wines, so do not forget to enjoy the Martin festivities and pre-holiday days with a bottle of good young wine that will raise the whole experience to a higher level.

Mlada Graševina is a wine of lower alcohols, exceptional freshness and pronounced minerality, which it obtains due to the vineyard positions and terroir richness. The accentuated fruity aromatic profile with nuances of subtle herbal notes, low tannins and pronounced freshness win at the first taste. The production of young wine itself is a demanding process, since each step must be carefully controlled. From harvesting, quick transportation, processing the grapes and the fermentation itself, everything has to be done almost perfectly. The pronounced fruity character, both in aroma and taste, affects the pleasure of tasting this style of wine, achieved by a controlled fermentation temperature.

The release of the limited edition Mlada Graševina on the market takes place at the time of the traditional festival – St. Martin’s Day, which has been celebrated in wine-growing areas for decades. It is also a day that is celebrated throughout Central Europe in accordance with tradition and many festivities are held on November 11, the day of the burial of St. Martina. Nurturing the traditional folk custom of baptizing young wine, which has completed the phase of alcoholic fermentation and turned from must into wine, is especially important for us, as well as for other winegrowers and winemakers of the Kutjevo wine region. The entire vineyards on that day live in the sign of their wines – especially Graševina, and with various celebrations we mark a symbolic day imprinted in our wine culture. During the celebration, young wine is tasted, which due to its special taste and character has many admirers, and friends and guests hang out in wine cellars and vineyards. We want wine enthusiasts, all over the country, to feel and celebrate, through this limited edition of young wine, the tradition of tasting the first wine of the new vintage and together with friends and family enjoy a introduction to new vintages of premium and premium wines whose market is expected next year.
