Consistent success at major global competitions demonstrates the quality consistency of Kutjevo Winery’s Premium and Premium lines of wines and reaffirms the exceptional potential of the Kutjevo terroir as unique in the region and the world. Specifically, wines from Kutjevo Winery have won numerous medals at both domestic and international competitions, including an impressive 10 gold, 2 platinum, 9 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
Mundus Vini Spring Tasting
In the German town of Neustadt at the end of February, the first international wine evaluation of the year, Mundus Vini Spring Tasting, took place. Kutjevo Winery triumphed by winning a prestigious Grand Gold medal and the title of Best of Show Croatia for their outstanding 2018 Graševina Ice Harvest. This prestigious title placed this particular bottle at the pinnacle of the predicate category among strong competition from the world’s best wines. Alongside this medal, they showcased their potential with the new vintage of the Kvalitetna butelja Graševina from 2022 and the exclusive Koria Cuvée line from 2018, both winning silver medals.
Concours Mondial de Bruxelles
Furthermore, in May, the 30th edition of the renowned global wine evaluation event, Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, took place in Poreč, Croatia. It assessed more than 7,500 samples from all corners of the world, including 220 Croatian entries. The significance of this competition for our region was heightened by the fact that it was held right here in our beautiful country. At this particular competition, Kutjevo’s Maximo Nero from the 2019 vintage stood out, winning a gold medal, thanks to its rich flavor, refined aroma, and well-balanced structure that impressed the judging panel. This is a significant achievement for Kutjevo Winery, considering that they produce only 10% of red wines. This success follows their earlier gold medal win at the Concours Mondial competition and the title of Best of Show Croatia at the Mundus Vini Summer Tasting competition.
