Kutjevo Winery held the final round of the prestigious Kutjevo Sommelier Choice competition at the Antunović Hotel in Zagreb. As you already know, the competition included previous rounds in Opatija, Zadar, and Osijek, and now we have received five candidates from Zagreb who will join the other finalists from all regions.
Candidates from Zagreb enthusiastically accepted the opportunity to participate in this competition, and the result was an exceptionally large turnout and top competition. Each of the four previous locations brought its own unique atmosphere and challenges, but the final round in Zagreb (according to the results) showed that the passion for wine culture and sommeliers is strongly present in our capital as well. Representatives from Zagreb, together with the other 15 finalists, will face a decisive challenge in the fall and have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in front of a distinguished panel of judges.
“Big praise for the organization of the event, everything was great. The lecturer’s presentations were very useful and interesting, the practical part of the serving and tasting presentation was educational and interesting. The whole event is also a very good advertisement for Kutjevo wines, which are really excellent. Although I am a big fan of your wine, I encountered some labels for the first time yesterday. I am glad that I had the opportunity to listen to the presentations of the best experts in Croatia. I learned a lot, met interesting people and tasted fine wines,” said a participant from Zagreb
