Kutjevo winery achieved extraordinary success at the world’s most prestigious wine competition Decanter 2023, which resulted in winning several important awards. The outstanding Graševina from the current 2022 vintage, which won the gold medal, was highlighted. This wine stands out as one of the best-selling bottles of wine in Croatia, and the recognition from Decanter further confirms its top quality.
In addition, the Kutjevo winery also won gold for the unique Graševina Ice Vintage 2018. This rare and special vintage is now the winner of one of the most prestigious awards in the world of wine, which is a testament to its extraordinary elegance and complexity.
Furthermore, the winery received significant awards for its famous Graševina quality bottle, which won a silver medal, while the premium coupages Maximo Oro 2020, Maximo Bianco 2020 and the exclusive Koria Cuvée 2018 line were awarded bronze medals. Decanter 2023 broke the record with 18,250 wines from 57 countries entered, making it the largest competition in Decanter’s history. This impressive figure reflects the great influence and prestige of this event in the world wine world. Among all these registered wines, 480 come from Croatia, which shows the importance and competitiveness of the Croatian wine scene. 236 wine experts participated, among which 53 Master of Wine and 16 Master sommeliers stood out. Their expertise and experience ensured a rigorous and fair evaluation of each wine. This extremely strong and distinguished jury makes the success of Kutjevo winery even more remarkable, because their wines stood out among thousands of top examples from all over the world.
Only 705 gold medals were awarded globally, and Kutjevo winery proudly won gold medals for its Graševina.
