Awards at prestigious wine evaluations are the best measure of quality, and the wines of the KUTJEVO winery are more than successful in this respect. The last three years have brought an unprecedented number of medals, new awards coming from Germany, from the first internationally significant wine evaluation held this year.
In an extremely strong competition at the 30th International Wine Awards, MUNDUS VINI SPRING TASTING 2022 in Neustadt, Germany, premium wines from labels de Gotho, Maximo and graševinas from winery KUTJEVO, achieved exceptional results. Experienced evaluators, oenologists, wine analysts, wine merchants, sommeliers, restaurateurs, and wine journalists, were awarded the following wines:
MAXIMO ORO vintage 2019 – gold medal
MAXIMO NERO vintage 2017 – gold medal
PINOT NOIR DE GOTHO 2019 – gold medal
TOP QUALITY GRAŠEVINA vintage 2021 – silver medal
GRAŠEVINA KUTJEVO vintage 2021 – silver medal
Award-winning wines, especially the Maximo and de Gotho labels, are unique brands within the brand, recognizable and valued on the market, so we are especially pleased with the gold for Maximo Oro vintage 2019, blending of Graševina and Chardonnay grape varieties and golden medal for Pinot Noir vintage 2019 and Maximo Nero vintage 2017, blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. We are proud to receive confirmation that the efforts and knowledge aimed at raising the quality and recognizability of red wines that come from our cellar are internationally recognized, as well as for the fact that members of the jury were equally delighted with the white and red wines. Our Graševina, Top quality Graševina vintage 2021 and Graševina Kutjevo vintage 2021 also won a significant silver medal, and are always at the very top of the world’s best-rated wines.
The Mundus Vini competition was founded by Meininger Verlag and is considered one of the most prestigious international wine competitions in Germany. The competition aims to promote quality and encourage the sale of wine. The competition is held twice a year, and the evaluation takes place in accordance with international guidelines established by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV).
Another great success of the KUTJEVO winery on the international wine scene shows the continuity of production quality of top and premium wine labels, which is confirmed by winning a lot of awards in international evaluations promoting the Kutjevo wine region as a source of a rich tradition of viticulture and winemaking.
